As we reach the half way point of arguably dreariest month of the year, seeking comfort and joy in the small things is more important than ever. With fewer distractions and a slower tempo, we can recharge our batteries and fully enjoy the pleasures of cooking hearty, nourishing meals, catch up with friends over a coffee or glass of wine, and sit down and reflect on what this new year might bring our way. When we eventually have to venture outside, it will be bundled up in soft jumpers and big fluffy coats whilst daydreaming about the warmth of the sun.

Born in London to an international family, Serena was lucky enough to grow up frequently visiting her grandparents who were scattered around the world. As her father travelled a lot for work and was keen to share the experiences he encountered, he would often revisit destinations and bring his family along. Serena went to New York University for her undergraduate degree and ended up spending two years in Paris and two years in New York. She found the ambition and tempo in New York completely contagious, and as a result there and then decided to start her own business.
