With fewer distractions and a slower tempo, we can recharge our batteries and fully enjoy the pleasures of cooking hearty, nourishing meals, catch up with friends over a coffee or glass of wine, and sit down and reflect on what this new year might bring our way. When we eventually have to venture outside, it will be bundled up in soft jumpers and big fluffy coats whilst daydreaming about the warmth of the sun.
