The Sigrid blouse, our signature piece, is a classic shirt that instantly lifts any outfit. Inspired by traditional Austrian Tracht blouses, it has wide statement sleeves and an oversized collar with intricate pleated details. The beautifully gathered shoulders and cuffs with double frill edge are a nod to the Victorian era. If looked after properly, this shirt will last a lifetime - perhaps even longer!

The Sigrid blouse is handmade in East London and takes six hours to create.

Fabric

The fibre used to make raw silk is shorter than traditional silk, which contributes to its unique texture. The shade shifts from buttercup with hints of vanilla to a bright canary yellow depending on the light. Raw silk is also lighter weight than traditional silk, which makes it the perfect material for this style of blouse. A small quantity of this fabric has been sourced to make 4-5 blouses. The buttons are in limited quantity from the 1980s.
