5 People to Follow Now on Instagram for Vintage Inspiration
Whilst we are all busy working from home in confinement, it is nice to give yourself breaks and momentarily escape from reality… I am sure that you are, just like me, finding yourself spending some extra time on Instagram everyday, because how else will we stay in contact with the outside world?
In a way we are incredibly lucky to face self-isolation in a time where technology is so advanced and its very easy to stay in touch with our friends and family. It is also easier than ever to share visual works of art, music, fashion and anything that inspires you. For me, I find following people I admire for various reasons hugely inspiring and it also keeps your creative brain working.
Here are five people to follow on Instagram for great style and daily vintage vibes.
REBECCA LAURA ALANIZ
The creator of vintage brand @yesterdaynewyork as well as a fashion stylist and photographer, Rebecca’s feed never disappoints. She has incredible personal style and the effortless mix of vintage Prada blazers, tartan skirts and silk scarves always inspires new outfit combinations. She also shares film photography capturing scenes and still life from her native New York City.

BABBA C RIVERA
Named as a Forbes' "30 Under 30" in the "Marketing & Advertising" category at age 25, there was not much else to do at age 27, than to launch her own marketing agency. By. Babba was founded in 2017 in New York City but has since expanded to Europe and Sweden, where Rivera is originally from. Her style is eclectic, fun and colourful, and she mixes high end a vintage with great integrity.

ULRIKKE HOYER
Høyer is a Danish model that personifies the Scandi cool girl look. Aside from walking for Chloé, Lanvin, Elie Saab and appearing in Vogue Paris and Interview among others, she also has the ability to put quite ordinary items of clothing together to make incredibly stylish outfits. Vintage is her main game her, and through mostly candid iPhone selfies her Instagram page is where oversides men’s blazers, romantic blouses and knitted vests truly come alive.

PERNILLE ROSENKILDE
As I feel like the Danes are ahead of the game both when it comes to Vintage style and Vintage shopping. Therefore I see no harm in throwing in a brilliant account that personifies the two; that of Pernille Rosenkilde. As someone who is Commercial Director of Danish Eurowoman as her 9-5 and vintage dealer at WinVintage Copenhagen as her side hustle, Pernille knows a thing or two about both. Her feed is an ever flowing ode to colour and thinking outside the box. Her favourite fashion icon is Iris Apfel - so no wonder there is not a black suit in sight.

LUCIA CUESTA
Spanish jewellery designer Lucia hails from Madrid where she also lives and works as a freelance stylist with her twin sister Helena. Lucia loves vintage and not just for clothing, but for furniture as well. Most Sundays she can be found at El Rastro, one of the biggest open air flea markets in Madrid, and eagle-eyed followers can spot interior finds in the background of selfies from her apartment loft. Her style is very much laid back bohemian, with a dash of effortlessly cool Euro. T-shirts and vintage Levis jeans and mixed with floaty cotton dresses and silk kimonos.
